The services I provide are intended to help you:
Awaken - If you find the spiritual meaning of the word "awaken" appealing, that's great. If not, that's fine too. At its essence, "awaken" simply means realizing that your current life doesn't have to be your permanent experience. You might feel like you've hit rock bottom. You may be exhausted from trying to change but ending up back in the same place. You might feel stuck, depressed, or anxious. You may be just tired of your own bullshit. Yet, even in these unique states, there is a spark of hope that simply needs the right environment and structure to turn into a flame. You not only want this change (most do) but you also believe that it is possible (many do) and are ready to dive in 100% (some do). Moving toward this possibility is the start of your awakening.
Create - An awakened life is also a creative life. By freeing ourselves from old habits and thoughts, we tap into an infinite energy that has always been within us. We feel thankful for letting go of what doesn't serve us anymore. With newly-imbued confidence, we embrace and create a new way of being in this world. Our own way. Our nervous system feels refreshed as we move past years of survival living. The desire to live differently reveals to us our true selves, and this daily expression fuels our creativity. This creative energy manifests uniquely for everyone but ultimately breaks through our self-imposed limits and moves us forward to leave our unique imprint on others and the world.
Evolve - Another spiritual word that may take a second to adjust to. But a clear & honest view of our universe shows that it values evolution. Whether considering the cosmos, nature, or even our own bodies, things that do not change struggle and eventually fade away or are destroyed. The saying "change is inevitable but growth is optional" highlights that the responsibility to continuing growing lies within us. Not anywhere else or with anyone else. Change happens every day, but growth occurs only when we actively choose to let go of our self-imposed struggles and allow ourselves to adapt and progress towards the life we desire. We stop fighting. We see our choices as agents for movement forward in life and not just reactions to life happening around us. We move from a belief that life is happening to us to a deeper experience of life happening for us.

ABOUT ME
Hello there, my name is Greg Quintin and though I currently reside in Northern Colorado, I am a native Californian to my core. Growing up in Orange County, CA I have carried the California spirt with me everywhere I have lived. This includes a decade+ in San Francisco & Monterey in addition to stints in Atlanta and Minneapolis.
My undergraduate is from the University of San Francisco. 5 years later, I graduated summa cum laude with a Masters in Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul MN. I spent 10 years as a pastor/church planter. In addition to a burgeoning public speaking and writing career, I successfully planted a relationship-centered spiritual community just outside of Atlanta. Having transitioned leadership of that church, I pursued a 2nd masters degree; this time in Marriage & Family Therapy from Adler Graduate School. Though I chose to not graduate, I finished all coursework at a summa cum laude level and completed all hours for licensure.
I am also a certified Himalayan Breathwork & Kriya (300 hours) and Sattva Meditation teacher (500 hours)*. I have worked for some of the biggest corporations in the world in a Strategic Finance career that has spanned the course of 25+ years. In addition to starting and managing my own consulting company, I have worked in the non-profit sector for the past 10 years. Having done all of that … I honestly feel like I’m just getting started.
At my core, I am a person anchored by a deep gratitude for this life and I am moved forward by my daily sadhana which allows me to stay present, open & available to the magic of the Present. My passion truly is to see people freed from whatever barriers and limiting beliefs they hold on to that keep them from experiencing the life they are meant to have. Supporting people on their journey to self is a privilege.
I’ve had the benefit of sitting under wonderful teachers my whole life. I hope that I get a chance to share with you a little bit of what I’ve learned in this life. I look forward to hopefully connecting with you and working together to build the life you want.

Story & Approach
The idea for Avalon Life Services came to me while completing my graduate studies in Marriage & Family Therapy at Adler Graduate School in Minneapolis. After completing 1,000+ hours of in-home therapy and leading various therapy groups, I couldn’t ignore what began to see as issues with the "one size fits all" approach to traditional therapy. Specifically, I was noticing that many people never actually changed. Many did. But I wouldn’t say it was “most.” And it wasn’t just my clients, further investigation revealed that this was common across the therapeutic spectrum. A recent study from the National Institute of Health revealed that anywhere from 67% to 75% of clients do not achieve expected outcomes, 20% to 25% experience no benefit and 5%-10% actually get worse.
With that as starting point, I began questioning why traditional therapy was just generally accepted as the default option for anyone wanting to affect lasting change in their life. Was this the only mode available to a person wanting to change? Why was the process itself so long and so expensive? Could there be a more updated, perhaps more wholistic approach, to apply my training that left clients feeling changed and more satisfied with their lives?
So, despite finishing all of my coursework at a summa cum laude level and completing all of my my fieldwork for licensure, I chose not to pursue a career as a therapist. Instead, I took a step back and began actively exploring the process of change itself. Holding fast to what I learned in graduate school, I wanted to devote my time/training to finding and providing another option for people to become more happy and fulfilled with their lives. Not as an “anti-therapy” approach but instead a perhaps more updated approach. For a number of years, I began studying and implementing more “non-talk” approaches that took into account the diversity of the human experience while also providing a more honest and complete look at the process of change itself.
At the time, I was also doing personal and professional coaching. During this multi-year season of reflection and implementation, I noticed that outcomes were better and lasting when both practitioner and client changed their approach to time together. First, for the practitioner (me):
Focused on one specific client-initiated outcome - a streamlined, collaborative focus that also allows for all the other “things” that inevitably come up during a series of 1:1 times.
Working with a specific and shorter end date in mind - sessions don’t proceed without a clearly communicated end date. Flexible, sure. But by weeks not months.
Limiting the amount of clients - this allows space for the relational component of the 1:1 times to be front and center.
Not taking insurance meant working for you, not insurance companies.
For the client, the more successful ones shared these traits:
Participation was their choice. They weren’t sent by a judge, a partner or a parent. While learning and changing along the way, they owned their choices and outcomes.
They trusted me and demonstrated their trust in the process by actually doing the work.
Stayed in the game. Didn’t pull back or quit when things got uncomfortable and hard.
In a word, committed.
And with that as a starting point, Avalon Life Services was born. Present practitioners, committed clients. Less clients, greater focus. Our time together measured in weeks, not months or years and outcomes determined by our collaboration … not insurance companies. An approach grounded in a traditional therapeutic framework but wide enough in its application to include the whole of the human experience.
If this approach to personal change sounds appealing to you, the services I provide at Avalon can most likely get you where you want to go in your life. If you’re ready to get started and/or have questions, you can schedule your free 20-minute introductory Zoom call HERE.
