The services I provide are intended to assist you:
Awaken -At its essence, to "awaken" simply means to realize that where you currently are in life is unfulfilling while simultaneously realizing that it doesn't have to be your permanent experience. You might feel like you've hit rock bottom. You may be exhausted from trying to change but ending up back in the same place. You might feel stuck, depressed, or anxious. You may be just tired of your own bullshit. Yet, even in these unique states, there is a spark of hope that simply needs the right environment and structure to turn into a flame. You not only want this change (most do) but you also believe that it is possible (many do) and are ready to dive in 100% (some do). Moving toward this possibility is the start of your awakening.
Create - An awakened life is also a creative life. By freeing ourselves from old habits and thoughts, we tap into an infinite energy that has always been within us. We feel thankful for letting go of what doesn't serve us anymore. With newly-imbued confidence, we embrace and create a new way of being in this world. Our own unique way. Our nervous system feels refreshed as we move past years of survival living into .. life. The desire to live differently reveals to us our true selves, and this daily expression fuels our creativity. This creative energy manifests uniquely for everyone but ultimately breaks through our self-imposed limits and moves us forward to leave our unique imprint on others and the world.
Evolve - A word that may take a second to adjust to. So, take a moment if you need. But a clear & honest view of our universe shows that it values evolution. Whether considering the cosmos, nature, or even our own bodies, things that do not change are things that struggle and eventually fade away and/or are destroyed. The saying "change is inevitable but growth is optional" highlights that the responsibility to continuing growing lies within us. Not anywhere else or with anyone else. Change happens every day, but growth occurs only when we actively choose to let go of our self-imposed struggles and allow ourselves to adapt and progress towards the life we desire. We stop fighting. We see our choices as agents for movement forward in life and not just reactions to life happening around us. We move from a belief that life is happening to us to a deeper experience of life happening for us.

Hello there, my name is Greg Quintin and I am currently residing in Northen Colorado, just outside of Fort Collins. Though I’m originally from Orange County, California, I’ve also called San Francisco, Monterey, Atlanta, and Minneapolis home at different seasons of life.
I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco and went on to complete a Master’s of Divinity, summa cum laude, from Bethel Theological Seminary in St Paul, MN. I spent ten years serving as a pastor and church planter of a non traditional, relationship-centered faith community just outside of Atlanta, GA. After leaving the church, I transitioned into clinical training, where I completed all Marriage & Family Therapy coursework and licensure hours at Adler Graduate School (also summa cum laude). Though I chose to not pursue the formal graduate degree or licensure.
I’m a certified Himalayan Breathwork & Kriya facilitator (300 hours) and a trained Sattva Meditation teacher (500 hours). Professionally, I’ve worked in strategic finance for more than 25 years, including corporate roles at some of the biggest companies in the world. In addition to starting and managing my own consulting firm, I’ve also spent the last decade dedicated to work in the nonprofit sector. I have over a decade’s worth of experience coaching others personally and professionally.
I am also currently enrolled at Changa Institute in Denver with expected State Licensure to be a psilocybin therapy facilitator in late Spring of ‘27.
On the personal side - In addition to the ongoing study of Yoga (kriya yoga, to be specific) & Tantra, I love listening to live music, jam bands, traveling, writing, having conversations imbued with honesty and laughter, spending as much time in the ocean as possible and consuming copious amounts of Pho.
I’ve had the benefit of sitting under wonderful teachers my whole life. I hope that I get a chance to share with you a little bit of what I’ve learned in this life. I look forward to hopefully connecting with you and working together to build the life you want.

Story & Approach
Simply stated, Avalon provides life services designed to awaken your fearlessness, activate your agency and partner with you as you expand your ability to know yourself and master your own energy in order to fully participate in the life you’re creating.
The idea for Avalon Life Services came to me while completing my graduate studies in Marriage & Family Therapy. After completing 1,000+ hours of in‑home therapy and leading various therapy groups, I couldn’t ignore what I began to see as issues with the “one size fits all” approach to traditional talk therapy and models of personal change. Specifically, I noticed that many people never actually changed. Some did, but it wasn’t “most.”
Further investigation showed this was common across the therapeutic spectrum. A study from the National Institutes of Health found that anywhere from 67% to 75% of clients do not achieve expected outcomes, 20% to 25% experience no benefit, and 5% to 10% actually get worse. That led me to question why traditional therapy was generally accepted as the default option for anyone seeking lasting change. Was it the only route to greater happiness? Why was the process often so long and expensive? Could there be a more updated, holistic way to apply my training—one that left clients genuinely changed and feeling more satisfied with their lives?
So, despite finishing all of my coursework at a summa cum laude level and completing all of my my fieldwork for licensure, I chose not to pursue a career as a therapist. Instead, I took a step back and began actively exploring the process of change itself. Holding fast to what I learned in graduate school, I wanted to devote my time/training to finding and providing another option for people to become more happy and fulfilled with their lives. Not as an “anti-therapy” approach but instead perhaps expanding the reach of a change process that was relatable, dynamic and lasting. For a number of years, I began studying and implementing more “non-talk” approaches that took into account the diversity of the human experience while also providing a more honest and complete look at the process of change itself.
At the time, I was also doing personal and professional coaching. During this multi-year season of reflection and implementation, I noticed that outcomes were better and lasting when both practitioner and client changed their approach to their time together.
First, for the practitioner (me):
Focused on one specific client-initiated outcome - a streamlined, collaborative focus that also allows for all the other “things” that inevitably come up during a series of 1:1 times.
Working with a specific and shorter end date in mind - sessions don’t proceed without a clearly communicated end date. Flexible, sure. But by weeks not months.
Limiting the amount of clients. This allows space for the relational component of the 1:1 times to be front and center. Allows me to give more focus to fewer.
Not taking insurance means working for you, not insurance companies.
For the client, I noticed that successful ones shared these traits:
Participation was their choice. They weren’t sent by a judge, a partner or a parent. While learning and changing along the way, they owned their choices and outcomes and owned their agency to affect lasting change for themselves.
They trusted me and demonstrated their trust in the process by actually doing the work.
Stayed in the game. Didn’t pull back or quit when things got uncomfortable and hard.
In a word, committed.
Finally, through personal experience and a series of “Couldn’t-Have-Planned-This-Even-If-I-Tried” events, I realized that change really doesn’t last until we intentionally engage, embrace and activate change in the body. Talk therapy will only take us so far. And this is where most people get stuck. It’s not their fault. It’s not talk therapy’s fault. It’s the inherent limitation that focus solely on mind while minimizing or straight up ignoring the role of the body.
And with that as a starting point, Avalon Life Services was born.
Present practitioners, committed clients. Less clients, greater focus. Using talk therapy as a starting point and means of foundational awareness to see patterns but also activating true change/evolution by having a holistic/somatic approach. Our time together measured in weeks, not months or years and outcomes determined by our collaboration … not insurance companies. An approach grounded in a traditional therapeutic framework but wide enough in its application to include the whole of the human experience.
If this approach to personal change sounds appealing to you, the services I provide at Avalon can most likely get you where you want to go in your life. If you’re ready to get started and/or have questions, you can schedule your free 30-minute introductory Zoom call HERE.
